The Washington Rare Book Group invites you to join us for our next virtual lunchtime event:

The Artist at Home: Elizabeth Curren & Camel Leopard Press

May 12, 2021, 12:00p.m.

Elizabeth Curren is a book artist, watercolor painter, writer and teacher with degrees in literature from Boston College and in art from the Corcoran College of Art + Design; she received her MA from the Corcoran’s Art and the Book Program in 2013. Her work explores themes of landscape, travel, language, natural sciences, Irish literature, memory and dreams. Influences include growing up on the coast of Rhode Island and having the opportunity to travel and live overseas. She has written reviews of artists’ books and is a proud member of the Guild of Book Workers, the Washington Rare Book Group, American Print History Association, and Pyramid Atlantic Arts. She is also a member of an artists’ cooperative gallery where she exhibits her work: the Studio Gallery DC.

During this event, we will get a virtual glimpse into Beth’s studio, hear about her recent work as well as some books she has made in the past, and how other book artists have encouraged and influenced her work.

The event will begin at 12:00 p.m., but we will open the waiting room 15 minutes early to give everyone time to get settled in before the talk begins.

Even though there is no cost for this event, members must RSVP by May 10th so we can send you an email with login instructions prior to the event.

The Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants 24 hours in advance of the program.

We hope you will join us!

Amanda Zimmerman,
WRBG President
